George Washington Region Transportation Opportunities for Regional Economic Growth
This executive summary was developed to provide evidence connecting the region’s economic goals to the region’s transportation investments that include potential future 2014 Virginia House Bill 2 (HB2), now called Smart Scale, project applications, as well as to support a strong argument for continued transportation investments and projects in the Region. It highlights the relationship between land and short-range transportation planning, project prioritization, and programming in FAMPO’s Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) and VDOT’s Six-Year Improvement Plan (SYIP) to the desired economic development future of the Region.
