Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC)

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is comprised of citizens, planners, biking and walking clubs and others. Its purpose is to advise the Policy Committee during the update of the George Washington Region Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan, represent state and local governments, community organizations and the general public interests in transportation planning decisions, and provide feedback to FAMPO staff on projects relating to walking and bicycling.  The BPAC is currently an ad hoc committee that meets during the update of the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.  Persons who require special accommodations under the American with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact the GWRC/FAMPO at 540-373-2890 or at least four days prior to the meeting.  If hearing impaired, telephone 1-800-273-7545 (TDD).
