Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC)

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is comprised of citizens, planners, biking and walking clubs and others. Its purpose is to advise the Policy Committee on issues related to active transportation. They represent state and local governments, community organizations and general public interests in transportation planning decisions, providing feedback to FAMPO staff on projects relating to walking and bicycling whether for recreation or basic transportation needs. The BPAC is currently gearing up to begin monthly meetings this fall during the development of our 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan(LRTP).

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.  Persons who require special accommodations under the American with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact the GWRC/FAMPO at 540-373-2890 or at least four days prior to the meeting.  If hearing impaired, telephone 1-800-273-7545 (TDD).
