Congestion Management Process
Outputs of the Congestion Management Process study will support the FAMPO transportation planning process through idenfication of strategies that promote efficient transportation system management and operation. HOT Lanes Parking Study
A park and ride lot location feasibility study in support of FAMPO’s efforts will be conducted to have substantive input into the location of new park and ride lot capacity.  FAMPO’s interests in this process will be represented, which includes Fluor/Transurban, VDOT and local FAMPO jurisdictions.

I-95 Rest Area Access Study
New roadway with access to I-95 between Virginia Route 3 and the Rappahannock River, extending southwest toward Route 3 in the City of Fredericksburg.  The     I-95 access is a technical study only.  The “corridor” extends southwest from the rest are vicinity to the Harrison Road/Virginia Route 3 vicinity;  it also inclues I-05 between the Stafford Exit for Route 17 and the Route 3 exit in the City.

Route 3 Transit Corridor Study
The study will evaluate existing transportation and land use conditions along Route 3 from Gordon Road in Spotsylvania County to the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, including Business Route 3 in downtown Fredericksburg.

I-95 Jackson Gateway Access Study
The study is for a potential new interchange on I-95 in the Jackson Gateway Area of Spotsylvania County. The overarching purpose of this study is to identify the most appropriate type and location for improved interstate access in the Jackson Gateway Area.

I-95 Corridor Needs Analysis
Determine existing traffic operating conditions along I-95 corridor, identify congested problem locations and assess in terms of major contributing factors.  The I-95 Corridor needs analysis is studying the corridor in the entire region (Northern border of Stafford to southern border of Caroline). There is no public involvement; it is a technical study only. Length is approx 47 miles.
