The Regional Transit Policy Plan is a comprehensive, regional public transit system blue print. The purpose of this plan is to conduct research and build a Regional consensus on transit levels of service, revenues and organization structure over the next twenty-five years. The Regional Transit Policy Plan is reviewed and updated every four years.
The Human Service Transportation Coordination Study is part of the Regional Transit Policy Plan and includes the following:
Inventory of clients and destination and current services
Assessment of service gaps and unmet needs
Recommendations of service changes and additions, including implementing Agencies and budgets
Creation and continued existence of a Human Service Transportation Advisory Committee, as a subgroup to the Rappahannock Area Disability Network (RADN).
